人口

根据阿富汗中央统计局统计，2019/2020财年阿富汗人口约为3220万，其中，男性占51%，女性占49%。城市人口770万，农村人口2300万，另有150万人为游牧民。人口年增长率约2.14%。由于常年战争，阿富汗人口中青少年占比非常高，其中15岁以下人口1540万，占47.7%，居全球最高之列。65岁以上人口仅占2.7%。

据联合国统计，阿富汗3220万人口中近1/4曾经背井离乡。全球仍有460万阿富汗人处于流亡状态，其中270万人获得了难民身份，巴基斯坦和伊朗分别收容了140万和100万阿富汗难民。阿富汗难民与遣返事务部称，自2019年3月至2020年3月共有超过54万难民返阿。据联合国难民署统计，2019年各类武装冲突、安全局势动荡等原因造成阿全国有超过40万人流离失所，这些人缺乏住所、食品、水、医疗资源以及接受教育和参加就业的机会。
